Throughout history, folk medicine has always existed. In times when medical education was not developed, people turned to experienced individuals for dislocated joints and pain.

What has changed today?

Today, a person with no medical training is more likely to harm a patient. A professional physician, on the other hand, can treat by correctly combining Western medicine with complementary medicine methods.

Manual therapy and manipulation

Releasing a joint with a quick, short movement — manipulation — may only be performed by a physician trained in manual therapy. More: Manual therapy, Physiatrist or physiotherapist.
