What is fibromyalgia?

Fibromyalgia is a chronic syndrome that shows itself through widespread pain in different parts of the body, fatigue, sleep disturbance and reduced everyday quality of life.

How is it managed?

Regular physical activity, managing stress, good-quality sleep and following your doctor’s advice can help reduce the symptoms. But every patient is different, and treatment should be planned individually.

With early diagnosis and the right physiotherapy approach, symptoms can be reduced. Methods used:

  • Electrotherapy
  • Exercise-based rehabilitation
  • Dry needling
  • Neural therapy

What is myofascial pain syndrome?

Persistent pain in the neck, upper back, lower back, shoulder and other areas can be a sign of myofascial pain syndrome. Hidden trigger points that form in the muscles lower quality of life. The main causes are a long-term sedentary lifestyle, stress and tension, and poor posture.

Approach: the cause of the pain is identified and an individual treatment plan is prepared — electrotherapy, individual exercises, dry needling, trigger point injections, shockwave therapy and more.

If you have long-lasting muscle and joint pain, weakness or other complaints, it is advisable to see a specialist to identify the cause and plan suitable treatment. More: Neural therapy and dry needling.
